has said pensioners who failed to register biometrically will leave the scheme with no option than to delete their names from the pension payroll from 1st February 2020.
The Trust, in 2014 directed members to re-enrol through the biometric registration process and followed up with reminders to ensure that this call is adhered to.
However, some members are yet to go through the stipulated process.
Management of SSNIT says the Trust âwill stop payment of monthly pensions to pensioners who fail to re-enrol by January 31, 2020â adding that âpension payment to affected persons will only be restored after biometric re-enrollment.
SSNIT therefore, entreats members who have not followed the procedure to to visit any SSNIT branch to re-register biometrically.
