The management of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) has released the Congregation Ceremonies Date Schedule for the 2018/2019 academic year. All graduating students should see the UMaT congregation ceremony schedule below.
UMaT 11th Congregation Ceremony Date and Schedule
The University Council, the Vice Chancellor and Management of the University of Mines and Technology announce for the information of the general public that the University will hold its 11th Congregation onÂ SATURDAY, 27TH JULY, 2019Â at 9:30 AM.
The following groups of Graduands will be presented:
- All first degree graduands who completed their programmes by May, 2019
- All postgraduate graduands who completed their programmes by June, 2019
Graduands should pay GHÂ˘120.00 to cover the hiring of academic gowns, presentation tubes, supply of congregation brochures and administrative charges into Ecobank and Fidelity Bank Account Numbers detailed as follows:
Graduands should register with the Academic and Student Affairs Unit not later than 26th July, 2019 by providing the following information:
- Name of Graduand
- Programme offered
- Name of Faculty and Department
- Year of graduation

Note: Please Submit the Pay-in-Slip to the Cash Office of the University.
Graduands may invite not more than two (2) persons (preferably their parents or guardians) to attend and witness the ceremony. They would also make their own arrangements for accommodation and feeding.
Graduands would be expected to be seated THIRTY (30) MINUTES, i.e. 9:00 am, before the commencement of the programme in their Academic Gown, worn over a decent dress. Graduands should attend congregation rehearsals on Friday, 26th July, 2019 in the Auditorium and should be seated by 1:30 pm. The rehearsal exercise is compulsory and should be considered as such.
Those who do not attend the rehearsals would not be presented.
