The Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Anthony Boateng in a letter dated May 18 2020 stated changes have been made in this year’s re-posting procedures.
The Ghana Education Service explained that the changes in the process of re-postings for 2020 are to see to it that applicants have approval from the Director-General before being released by their various Districts and Regions.
It also said no Teacher shall be reposted without the approval of the Director-General.
Heads’ Assurance Letters
The Education Service however urge individual staff to disregard the assurance letters issued by the Practice of Heads of Schools.
The Ghana Education Service rather advised that Heads of schools (including SHS) should announce such vacancies to their respective District Directorates.
It furthered that the reason for not authorizing Heads to issue assurance letters was to clarify that only District Directorate can declare vacancies in the Districts.
Payment of Fees
On the part of the payment, GES indicated that there are No processes of re-posting that require the payment of any kind of fee.
The Service added that all letters of approval from the Director-General will be submitted to the Regional Education Office for collection, hence no useful purpose will be served by any staff seeking re-posting to visit the headquarters to follow up on such applications.
