The Ministry of Education (MoE) after announcing the postponement of its media briefing said it will hold the briefing today Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 10 am. The Media briefing will be held at the Ministry of Information Conference Hall, the Ghana Education Service has also confirmed it will be televised live on GTV.
Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO will be updating Ghanaians on measures the Education Ministry has putten in place as far as education is concern in the global coronavirus pandemic.
President Akufo-Addo lately announced for the closure of all schools throughout the country and also earlier directed all final year students to go home until further notice. He also through the West African Examinations Council announced the postponement of WASSCE for school candidates.
However, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has not announced the postponement of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination neither has it suspended the 2020 BECE timetable.
Hopefully, at the end of the briefing, more updates will be disclosed by the Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh.
