The Management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) following a special meeting held today June 17, 2020, has announced the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor and a new Registrar.
Following the Council’s decision, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, who is currently the Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.
According to the Council, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong will serve a 4-year term of office effective August 1, 2020.
He will take over from the incumbent Vice-Chancellor Professor Joseph Oharfey Ampiah, whose term of office expires on July 31, 2020.
Also, the Council has appointed Mr. Jeff Teye Emmanuel Oriyame, who is currently the Director of Academic Affairs as the new Registrar of the University of Cape Coast.
Mr. Onyame’s appointment takes effect from August 1, 2020, and will take over from the incumbent Registrar, Mr. John Nyan, when his term of office ends on July 31, 2020.
