The Government of Ghana (GoG) has reportedly granted financial clearance for some 8,076 nurses to be posted to various health facilities across the country.
A statement sighted by Georgeweb.org indicates that nurses who completed various public health training institutions appointment take effect from November 1, 2020.
The statement signed by a Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei-Asare furthered that salaries of the personnel would be charged against the Compensation Employees vote of the Ministry of Health in the 2020 annual estimates.
“The Ministry of Health is to ensure that the Nurse Assistant Clinical and Nurse Assistant Preventive staff have their documents processed in time and placed on the Mechanized Payroll to enable the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department effect payment of their salaries,” it directed.
It was stated in the statement that the deadline for financial clearance is December 31, which subsequently cannot be used thereafter.
