The leadership of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) in a statement copied to websaet.com has cautioned Schools, particularly it members to be wary of a Google data collection form circulating and claiming to be authorized by the Ghana Education Service.
The Google data collection form alleged to be sanctioned by the Ghana Education Service requests the phone numbers of parents/ guardians and personal information of pupils from kindergarten 1 to Basic 4.
However, the Council says it has not received any such directive or official letter from the Ghana Education Service nor the Ministry of Education to collect data from any parents or teacher.
It added that “We does not know of its veracity, hence we do not make any completeness, accuracy and reliability of this information.
The leadership of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) therefore, entreats Schools to hold on with giving out any such information of any pupil or parent.
“In a case of such data request from tie Ministry of education or Ghana Education Service, the Council will duly inform all members”. it added.
